‘Tis the season to be jolly, right? Well, I have to say that I really haven’t been in much of a holiday spirit, until the other night when my client Donna Morgan celebrated another year of business. Carol and I walked into the Tribeca Rooftop thinking that it was going to be a small cocktail party…hmmm, not so much. Carol looking phenomenal in her very retro hair did, and me – pretty as a princess in a tulle Donna Morgan dress – entered into this magnificent gala. Talk about a hullabaloo…the CEO in drag strutting down the spiral staircase (which reminded me of being at Escuelita’s on a Thursday night), while lip-synching a holiday Spanish song, people dressed in Ali Ro and Donna Morgan everywhere, the rows of sushi perfectly being passed around like if they were on parade, and of course, my greatest love – the skyline of New York. It was priceless, and almost instantly put me in a good mood. Carol and I had some holiday spirits, danced as if it was Studio 54, and made stronger bonds with everyone there. I am now looking forward to my holiday hullabloos and not the hulla-blues...
