The first official snowstorm of the season has started in New York City!  I am personally ecstatic, although I happen to have the worst possible shoes on for this coming event. There is nothing like throwing your Tod’s loafers into a salt and slush bath on the way home, a little depression in every step. Oh supple Italian leather how I will miss you… but I digress.   Aside from the fact that my shoes will be in serious trouble in a few hours I am really excited. I cannot wholeheartedly get into the spirit of the season without snow.  People who live in California and Florida do not have Christmas as far as I am concerned.  Nothing bothers me more than a palm tree wrapped in Christmas lights.  Nothing. Last year it was hard for me to get into the swing of things with the complete lack of snow all season, then without warning that blizzard that hit that fateful weekend in March really threw off what was left of my appreciation for winter.  This coming snowstorm may just be able to save my affection for the season.  Something else that might save my affection for the season is my first placement for Jimmy Blanco Soy Candles in a national publication!  I started working on the account in October so most magazines December issues had already closed.  It’s to bad because his holiday scents and coordinating sleeves make great gifts and I think would have fit well into many different publications.  Well American Salon thought so to and put two Jimmy Belasco Soy Candles in their December issue!   This thought might just keep me warm on the snowy, sleet-drenched walk to the subway.  I just wish I could say the same for my shoes.  I looked at my Hunters this morning right before I left to…
