Happy holidays!!!! And I really mean it!!!! Let me tell you, I’m from Hong Kong and this is my first winter break away from home. So generally, this would not be the most joyful of times for me. Even during college, I would brave the 16-hour flight (not including layovers!) every winter to go spend the jolly season with my family. And yes, for a while, especially when I first moved to New York City, I was NOT looking forward to the holidays. But now five months older, five months wiser, I’m starting to find my place in my new city and slowly I’m learning to deal with everything on my own. It’s part of growing up. Five months ago I wasn’t working for this fab PR firm…having our company holiday dinner last night at LUPA was a wonderful predecessor to the holidays. We laughed, listened to each other’s stories and dreams and bickered like siblings over delicious food and drinks. It was almost like I was back home again with my family, comfortable and just having a great time. It really lifted my spirits and you know what…the holidays are what you make of it. And this year…I should consider myself lucky to have wonderful people around me. Seriously, it’s never lonely when you work at C.I. Visions!
