Fathers day is just around the corner so if you aren’t sure what to get dad this year…don’t worry! We’ve put together a few helpful hints to picking the right gift.
Don’t buy a gag gift. Jokes as gifts are fine for birthdays or maybe even Christmas, but Father’s Day requires a gift that is meaningful.
Consider what he does for fun and get him something that he will enjoy. If he likes fishing or working with his hands, get him something along those lines.
Don’t get him underwear!! This includes ties and socks, too! If dad needs these things, he can go to the store and get them himself. It would be a disappointment for him to open his present and see undergarments.
Remember most men do care about grooming. A common misconception is that men won’t appreciate a body care or fragrance – just keep in mind his personality and needs and he will love it. I suggest you check out Fruits & Passion’s Homme Collection. It comes in 3 scents – Numero 001, Numero 002 and Numero 003. These three scents come in after shave, eau de toilette, soap, and hair and body shower gel. Give it a try and see if dad doesn’t love it!

With Sean Hayes at the helm, Sunday night’s 64th Annual Tony Awards took off with great success! The Tony’s recognize Broadway’s best and brightest stars, who channel roles that stun and amaze audiences on a daily basis. This year’s top winners included Catherine Zeta-Jones (Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical) for A Little Night Music and Denzel Washington (Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play) for Fences. While the show itself was a pleasure to watch, the red carpet appearances preceding the awards show were equally as glamorous and awe-inspiring. Unlike last weeks CMT Awards, the Tony Awards red carpet event ushered in an entirely different fashion tone and attitude: one of classic romance, and prestigious Oscar-inspired accoutrements. Female nominees and distinguished guests were poised in long, flowing evening gowns in pale, pastel colors with delicate sweetheart necklines. The feathery, touled train that trailed from each dress added an ethereal, almost goddess or angel-like quality to the night’s Broadway starlets. Of course, the occasional shorter, cocktail dress was donned (like Kristen Chenoweth’s adorable white mini dress), but for the most part, long was IN. Our client, Jovani Fashions, is right on par with this year’s award show attire. Its entire evening gown and couture collection echoes the same classic and timeless aesthetic that came through in this year’s Tony’s. (To see for yourself, check out the image below or see more red carpet-ready designs at www.jovani.com!)
Although Green Day’s American Idiot lost to top contender Memphis for Best Musical, the young cast of American Idiot is our favorite. We had the exciting opportunity to dress one of the show’s female leads, Christina Sajous, for the show’s opening night. Hopefully we’ll be seeing many more Broadway bombshells in Jovani!

I’ve always laughed at the phrase “a clean home is a happy home.” Ironically, after smelling the Cucina Deodorizing Fragrant Kitchen Sprays, I am convinced that any house swirling with these aromas must be certifiably happy! The collection of kitchen sprays is really one of a kind in that it compliments, not competes with the naturally sweet, or scrumptiously savory smells that waft from the kitchen and dinner table. Of course, I’m always wary of deodorizing sprays that might be toxic for myself and family and friends – but I can rest easy knowing that these culinary-inventive and green thinking products are alcohol-free, water-based and propelled by nitrogen (a colorless and non-flammable gas that serves as an environmentally safe and non-harmful substitute for hydrocarbons). And, nitrogen is naturally odorless, which can only mean stand back chemical smells and make way for six of Cucina’s clever, eclectic and tantalizing scents: Coriander and Olive Oil, Zucchini Flower and Truffle, Ginger and Sicilian Lemon, Sanguinelli Orange and Fennel, Pink Pepper and Anise and Lime Zest and Cypress! Talk about a happy kitchen! The Cucina Deodorizing Fragrant Kitchen Sprays are inspiring attention as we speak! For those of you who tuned in to watch last night’s annual CMT Award Show, were you not ready to go out, take some singing lessons, and become the next country music phenom? I sure was! The night was packed with stellar performances, tear-jerking award acceptances, and fashion that will be talked about for weeks to come. Beginning at 7pm, the red (or rather, blue as the CMT awards show is notorious for switching up the “red” carpet stereotype) carpet was graced by the night’s most celebrated nominees and esteemed guests. The overall trend this year was short, flirty and sophisticated cocktail-type dresses (why not when summer is JUST around the corner) that were amped up by accessories that reflect every starlet’s unique style. And their dates? Well, let’s just say, the rough-and-tumble men were just as handsome as their lovely ladies. Who doesn’t love a cowboy hat once and a while?? While red carpet fashion always presents “hits” and “misses,” there is no question that Miranda Lambert returned home with a “buckle” for more than just her idolized Female Video of the Year, “White Liar.” Miranda reflected sheer happiness and unmatched beauty as she walked down the carpet in a short silver, sequined mirror dress by Jovani. The star later appeared on-stage in a second dress by Jovani-the long-sleeved, black and tan dress with alternating beading and lace gave a certain added sparkle to Miranda’s award acceptance!!

All I have to say is “WOW!” when it comes to Fruits and Passions’ new Nourishing Collection of body scrubs. And they’re just in time for summer! (click the link on the side bar!)
These super scrubs exfoliate dead skin cells and oils from your skin to help promote a more even, longer lasting tan! Never scrub or exfoliate right before sun exposure because since it takes off the first layer of dead skin cells it leaves skin more susceptible to burning. Instead, give it a day or two to let skin settle and recover from the scrub. The two new scrubs come packed with two different “power” ingredients: Argan and Avocado. Argan aids in deterring breakouts and Avocado is rich in collagen which helps slow the aging process of skin.
The scrubs both provide rich vitamins and anti oxidants to help smooth skin, reduce the look of scarring and stretch marks and “feed” the skin from the inside out promoting healthier, younger looking skin!
I would definitely recommend these scrubs to any of you sun goddesses this summer and trust me, you’ll love the results! Softer, smoother, more luminous skin!

The weather is already warming and the official start of Summer (June 21st) quickly approaches! Gearing up for three months of bright sunny days, heat, and the occasional sun shower we all could use an easy-to-apply, multi-tasking product like the new Dry Oil launching this week from our client Fruits & Passion. Nourishing Dry Oil for Body and Hair (available in a 5 oz. spray/$14.00 @www.fruits-passion.com) is essentially the must-have, all-in-one summer moisturizing, skin glowing, hair shining and styling, frizz ending, glow radiating product for BOTH the body and hair! Instead of creating a separate body spritz and hair protector, Fruits & Passion is taking beauty maintenance to a new (highly creative!) level by producing an innovative body and hair elixir that has distinct, yet complimentary benefits and can do just about anything!
The product has only been in our office for what seems like a few minutes, but I am already in LOVE. These sprays are utterly intoxicating. There are three unique versions each featuring a key ingredient; Monoi, Argan and Avocado. My favorite would have to be the Monoi, because I am magnetized by the scent of coconut and this product is infused with it! I spritzed a small amount of the dry oil in the air and was immediately taken to a tropical island flooded with notes of Tahitian vanilla, coconut and delicate flowers. While I love Banana Boat suntan lotions and tanning oils, because of their scent, I find the products greasy and they leave a white film on my arms and legs after I use them. Fortunately, the Nourishing Dry Oil sprays can double as a tanning oil as well ( I love not having to heft multiple products to the beach) and are absorbed almost instantaneously into the skin, without residue.. I admit, I don’t tan well, but hopefully this summer I’ll manage to get a great sun-kissed look from using these Nourishing Dry Oils since the micro-particles in the oil bring out natural pigmentation of the skin and provide a rich, amber glow. My new secret weapon, shhh. And while I am not a blonde, nor do I color my hair – there is a certain “head” here in the office who swims all summer long and sometimes her golden locks well..glow a little green…she test-road the product by lightly coating her hair before her chlorinated daily swim and her blonde ambition is still well rooted!!!!

All that Glitters
Whenever I watch the girls of Sex and the City I think FASHION. The girls’ glitzy and flashy style may be the norm in the Big Apple, but it’s catching the attention of women all over the country.
I started interning for C.I. Visions just a few days ago and when I saw Jovani’s collections I was in awe. Their line of cocktail length dresses are perfect for nights out on the town and are sure to make you feel just like Carrie Bradshaw.
If keeping up the trends is your thing, be sure to check out the JVN Collection from Jovani. This brand new collection is complete with sequined jackets, shimmering skirts, glamorous dresses and studded pants. JVN Collection is a sure crowd pleaser at any club in any city! – Samee

June is off to a fresh-scented start! Our highly innovative client, Fruits & Passion focused its flair for creating whimsical and enticing products into another home care product that offers the same personality and zest the brand is known for. The new Decorative Diffuser Set is unlike any other diffuser in that it looks just like a flower –complete with a Birchwood floral bloom (available in three colors) perched atop a cream-colored ceramic vase! Of course, no one has to look any further than the delicate decorative diffuser fragrances from Fruits & Passion… Faves include; Cucina Sanguinelli Orange and Fennel, Influence Green Tea and Orchid and Tulip.
